General Discussion

One of a benign (harmless) group of metabolic abnormalities, Gilbert Syndrome is a hereditary disorder leading to a defect in the clearance (removal) of bile pigment (bilirubin) from the liver. This syndrome is common but innocuous and easily controllable.
